Jazz and Pop Drumming Tuition
Brighton Jazz School offers Drum Tuition both on a 1-1 basis and group lessons. These weekly run lessons and classes led by professional drummer/ musician Jim Whyte, are neatly tailored to suit any young or older aspiring drummers, who wish to satisfy their curiosity in learning how play the drums, or indeed wish to further advance their current skills in jazz, rock or pop drumming.
Students will have the option to receive individual or group drumming lessons in whichever style they wish to pursue, depending on their individual preference to learning and or their budget.
Individual lessons will consist of rudimental work, co-ordination exercises, time keeping study, posture, plus song form/ style investigation.
Group lessons will consist of all of the themes mentioned above, with an emphasis being placed on group participation.
(Percussion will be supplied, however students are welcome to bring along their own percussion instruments of choice to the classes, if they so wish).
All the classes are open to drummers and non-drummers alike, who have an interest in furthering their rhythmic skills and knowledge, in whichever area of music that they are most keen to develop.
